COMMANDassurance Frequently Asked Questions More Questions? Call 205.879.3282 Q: Can you link in admixture tanks to add rather than water? • No, COMMANDassurance is designed to provide feedback that lets you batch the load correctly at the plant to minimize the additional time, cost, and subjective adjustment of slump in transit or at the jobsite. Q: What is the response time back to the batching system from the jobsite? • Near real time, within a minute as long as the truck is connected to cellular service at the jobsite. Q: What does the driver/dispatcher/qc personnel see? • All are able to see the concrete slump, temperature, volume, water added, water allowed to be added based on W/C ratio, drum speed and direction, unloading rate during discharge, and where they are in the delivery cycle. Probe/System Installation & Maintenance Q: Where is the probe mounted? • In the drum between the fins. Most times the hatch is the ideal location. Q: What is the expected lifecycle of the probe? • Approximately 30,000 yards, but it is covered for normal wear and tear and will be replaced if it fails under normal operating conditions. Q: Does each probe have to be calibrated and does each mix design require specific calibrations? • Usually there is one calibration done that should cover 90% of mix designs. If there is a mix that is very viscous, then we can make a separate calibration for that mix design. We can also have calibrations for flow and spread mixes. Q: What is required for maintaining the system? • There is a solar panel on the truck that should keep everything charged. If the battery does start to die, there is a cable that runs along the frame of the truck where drivers or mechanics can plug it up at the end of the day to charge overnight, although this shouldn't happen often. • We also ask drivers to park with the probes on the top of the drum to keep them from getting buildup on them and to help keep the batteries charged. Q: How long does the installation take per truck? • This depends on how many mechanics are working on the truck, but a typical installation takes 3 hours per truck. Pricing & Warranty Q: How is the system priced? • It is a subscription pricing model, based on the volume through the mixer, for both the hardware and software services. Q: What are the hardware components, and do I have to pay for that separately? • The main components of the system are the probe, the controller, the solar panel that powers the probe, a truck mounted display that allows the drivers, qc personnel or contractors to see the concrete properties, and an I/O box that connects to the devices. Depending on your TrackIt configuration, you will have the TrackIt Tablet, and possibly an Engine Data connection device. The system is designed to
