Talking Logistics Host and Supply Chain Expert Lends Insights to HBM Ecosystem

Adrian Gonzalez offers expert advice and insights to supply chains spanning a vast array of industries and trading partners. During our recent ELEVATE conference and accompanying Leadership Round Table event, Adrian played a key role in engaging producers, raw materials suppliers, bulk materials haulers and contractors in discussions and educational sessions to help them evaluate and elevate their supply chain processes and collaboration.  During small group discussions at the Leadership Round Table, trading partners from across the ecosystem discussed the obstacles that currently limit their collaboration with trading partners and goals for turning mere cooperation into full-on collaboration. Adrian summarizes, “What were some of these opportunities for improvement discussed? Too many to list here, but here are some of the opportunities that generated the most discussion:

  • Electronic ordering and load tendering, with real-time visibility to status.
  • Supplier Managed Inventory — that is, provide suppliers with real-time visibility to material consumption rates and inventory levels and have them manage replenishment automatically.
  • Eliminate paper tickets — that is, leverage electronic order data, GPS tracking, geo-fences, and mobile devices to track and confirm deliveries and trigger payments.
  • Streamline, automate, and compress Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes.”
