Provides Resources for Information on Safety, Expert Guidance and Customer Experiences

Birmingham, AL – August 22, 2018 Command Alkon, the global leader in integrated supply chain technology solutions for the Heavy Building Materials industry, announces the availability of a “Safety of Things” stream – an industry wide information platform to share best practices, safety success stories, product enhancements, conversations with innovators and influencers, and a celebration of people. The stream can be found on Command Alkon’s resource hub, Mastery by Command Alkon. It is filled with the latest news, updates, customer experiences and expert guidance on all things safety-related.

“By sharing best practices, innovations, and customer experiences, our hope and goal is to affect the industry in a safety positive way,” said Pete Dube, Safety of Things content manager and contributor. “If just one injury or fatality is avoided through the Safety of Things platform, then mission accomplished.”

On the “Safety of Things” stream, Pete interviews customers about their safety guidelines and procedures. These “how to” discussions give readers details about how to improve safety in their own environment, how to instill a safety mindset with employees and how to create a risk mitigation plan. One feature talks about one company’s vision for zero recordable injuries and occupational illnesses by focusing on four principles that include accountability, behavior, communication and dedication. Another offers news of several Command Alkon customers that have been awarded Safety Innovation Awards for safety-enhancing projects in the cement industry.

Safety has become part of Pete’s lifestyle rather than something he is just interested in. The emotional rush of positively impacting someone by ensuring safety at a jobsite and mitigating risks in work environments manifested this passion in Pete.
