The ability to triage vehicles on the fly saves the mechanic time and increases productivity by enabling them to focus on trucks that do need servicing. "We're working on trucks when they're not generating revenue," said Paul. "We can work on them at the end of the day while they are shut down. Having that visibility creates an enormous ability to maintain our trucks, keep them operational, keep them on the road as much as we possibly can, and plan ahead." They started with plants in Huntsville and Bellefontaine, Ohio, and quickly grew to four locations and six total plants. They have a fleet of 38 ready mix trucks, along with dump trucks. There was even buy-in from the drivers, which typically isn't the case in the beginning of a new implementation. The drivers were thrilled to go from a solution that didn't work to having a reliable tool to help them to do their job better. "We've seen the volume of calls that eat up dispatch and order taking time go down drastically," said Jeremy Sloan, Vice President of Operations at Ohio Ready Mix. "I would say close to 30% of the repeat phone calls have gone down because they're receiving those text messages, and they're getting that information from Integra through their TrackIt system." TrackIt has also improved their ability to understand the status of each truck in the delivery cycle, equipping their customers with the knowledge they need to know where Ohio Ready Mix using Integra and TrackIt to dispatch and track their fleet.
