Geogates
Trimble Geogates is a virtual marker tool that triggers a text or text-to-voice notification to the driver, or
back to the dispatch system via a system message. The manager can set the gate by vehicle direction (e.g.
'east only'), vehicle type, and choose either text alerts, voice alerts or both.In the Editor view, adding gates
is as easy as drawing a line perpendicular across the road on a map. Geogates is a free feature available
for TrimFleet. Geogates features more detailed status options that improves efficiency by allowing your
team visibility to fine tune delivery cycles.
Geogates can be customized for a range of workflows, some applications may include:
• Warning before a potential hazard e.g. "Dangerous turn ahead."
• Instructions for the driver about where to wait, slow down e.g. "Tare in before loading."
• Location data to find a specific stockpile or loading machine e.g. "Enter quarry, turn left and stop at
'Gap40' stockpile."
• Identify vehicles entering off-limits areas e.g. "Warning, this area is unsafe, please return to the
designated route."
