Command Data was founded in 1976 by a
small team led by Kenneth G. Robinson in an
effort to improve office operations for ready
mix producers. Their focus quickly expanded
to technology solutions for the dispatch and
production sides of the ready mix business.
In 2000, Command Data merged with
Alkon and began an expansion into offerings
for quality control, telematics, business
analytics, and all aspects related to these
operations. The company continued to evolve
its portfolio throughout the next decade to
include solutions for aggregates, asphalt and
cement suppliers, hauling operations, and
general contractors.
Command Alkon launched the CONNEX
Platform in 2019 to deliver a digital supply
chain experience enabling materials
suppliers, haulers, and buyers to work
collaboratively and share in digital workflows
that benefit the entire supply chain.
