The Concrete Industry Management Program Gears up for The Annual CIM Auction in Las Vegas

It’s that time of the year again – suppliers, producers, educators, technology providers, and concrete enthusiasts gather in the fun and flashy atmosphere that is Las Vegas for the annual World of Concrete.

Attendees agree that one of the favorite events at the show is the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Auction, a major fundraiser with the purpose to raise money and awareness. The money raised from the CIM Auction benefits the CIM National Steering Committee and supports the CIM programs. On average, CIM generates about $450,000 on average from auctions. WOW!

The CIM program is a business intensive program designed to combat the anticipated shortage of managers needed to support the expected growth of the concrete industry. Graduates of the program are given the skill set necessary to meet the growing demands of the progressively changing industry. To learn more about the program, visit their website.

“The proceeds from the 2019 CIM Auction will benefit the CIM National Steering Committee (NSC) and support the current CIM programs at Middle Tennessee State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Texas State University and California State University – Chico, the Executive MBA program, as well as help fund scholarships,” said Mike Philipps, Chairman of the CIM Auction Committee.

The 2019 CIM Auction will be held on Wednesday, January 23 during the 2019 World of Concrete at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The silent auction will be held from 11 am to 1 pm in room N263, with the live auction beginning at 1pm in room N262. Proceeds from the auction will support CIM’s educational programs and help fund scholarships for students pursuing a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management.

As in previous years, one of Command Alkon’s COMMANDbatch systems will be auctioned off at the event. We are very proud to support CIM’s program and the concrete industry’s leaders of the future.
