OSSGA Celebrates Excellence in Aggregate Operations Through Awards Program

February 27, 2018 Karli Langner

The Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association celebrates achievements in aggregate operations by recognizing pits and quarries through an awards program. The awards are judged by an expert third-party panel and are given to recipients who exceed expectations in many areas, such as sustainability, community relations, and demonstrating best operational practices.

The Award of Excellence signifies continuous outstanding achievement in all aspects of an aggregate operation. The prestigious award is the highest honor an active site can achieve in the OSSGA Industry Recognition Awards Program. To be eligible for the Award of Excellence, a pit or quarry must have previously earned the Progressive Rehabilitation Award, the Community Relations Award and the Property Enhancement Award (including all seven “gold” bars). The recipients of this award are producers that go above and beyond industry standards. Congratulations to the recipients of this award:

The Biodiversity Award is presented to OSSGA members for their contribution to sustaining biodiversity through sustainable land-use activities, habitat improvement, and species protection.
