Command Alkon's Response to COVID-19

To Our Customers –

Ensuring Command Alkon’s responsibility to our customers, our teams, and our partners is our core objective as we anticipate and prepare for the global impact of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).  As the situation continues to rapidly evolve, we are proactively taking steps to safeguard service to our customers while protecting our employees.

Like all of you, we are closely monitoring and following best practices issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and other governmental authorities.  We would like to share with you some proactive measures we are taking to both prevent the spread of illness and protect the health and safety of our customers whose sites we visit and our employees, including:

  • We have implemented remote work arrangements for the majority of our workforce that can perform their job function remotely,
  • We have limited travel across our organization by prohibiting inter-office travel, prohibiting cross-border business travel for non-essential purposes, and asking our employees to self-identify personal travel to locations where COVID-19 is community spread or widespread and sustained and requiring self-isolation upon their return, and
  • Employees are required to self-isolate in the event (a) their immediate family member is asked by his or her employer to self-isolate due to suspected COVID-19 exposure, (b) they have spent time around someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or who they suspect has had or has COVID-19, (c) they begin exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID-19.

Command Alkon is equipped with the necessary technology and bandwidth to enable our company to function effectively with a remote based workforce and to continue to support customers around the globe that rely on us for their mission-critical operations.

Rest assured that Information Security is vital to us, whether in the office or working remotely. All employees working remotely and accessing the Command Alkon network externally do so through a dual authentication Virtual Private Network (VPN) process supported by the standard Command Alkon security infrastructure which follow NIST 800-171, CSA and CIS best practices.

During this time, you can expect continued quality customer support, service, and sales through the existing channels you are used to. You may experience a delay or adjustment to onsite implementations, and we will work closely with you on a case-by-case basis as we balance delivery of services against ensuring the health and safety of our workforce and complying with government mandated travel restrictions.  Any onsite work that can be effectively delivered remotely may be adjusted in close coordination between you and our team in Services.
